No. 39, Deep Creek

Walking through a forest
with trees so high.
The trees art thick with leaves.
The plants art pure with their green colours.
Peaceful, wild animals doing what they do best, —
fighting against natural selection.
Whilst the walk lengthens
the sound of running water is nearby.
The pathway of trees cometh to an end,
the deep creek sparkles with life,
and nature's divinity.
The deep creek runs for acres in both directions.
To live with this divinity, —
it hath become wishful thinking,
and mythical, and legendary.
Man and nature created by the Father, —
man annihilating nature.
This land will soon be covered in flames,
then roads and cities;
the deep creek will be gone forever.
It will no longer be mythical and legendary;
it will become extinct and forgotten.

No. 21, Mother

Dedicated to my mother for her 39th birthday.  September 30, 2007.

As I have said before,
you are the first woman
I have ever loved.
Your love as strong as God's might,
your care as kind as God's mercy,
Your support as sharp as God's dagger,
you define the word Mother.
Your arduous efforts you put into my life
are so comforting and heartwarming.
I would die and kill for you,
for my love for you starts at forever
and ends at never.

No. 20, The Greatest Woman Alive

Dedicated to my mother.  Mother's Day 2007.

M is for the millions of things she has done for me.
O means she is the only woman who loves me as much as God.
T is for the tears she shed to save me.
H is for her heart of unconditional love.
E is for her eyes of passion for her children.
R means resourceful, always able to help.
Put these letters together, and they spell mother,
a word that means the world to me.
